With its practice of Instant Composition Conducting, the VIENNA IMPROVISERS ORCHESTRA addresses a special discourse of experimental composition and complex improvised music for large ensembles: in the oscillation of ensemble improvisation and structure-building conducting on the basis of a hand-sign system, momentary compositions emerge that are designed jointly by Instant Composition Conductor and musicians.
